As an all-women owned and operated company, Blossom understands the instrumental role women play in our society. The women on our team are authentic, talented and continually expanding our knowledge to be the best we can be.  As we celebrate International Women’s Day, our team has taken a moment to reflect on the women in our lives who have inspired us to go after our goals and be ourselves.

Let’s celebrate the women in our lives together.

Emily Lenning – Founder & CEO

There are many women in my life that have inspired and motivated me, it’s hard to just pick a few! This International Women’s Day, I want to honor my mom and my two grandmas, Darcy and Marion. My mom is very strong and has always been my number one supporter. She inspires me to work hard and give my all!

My grandma Darcy always has supported me and motivated me. One of my biggest cheerleaders. She worked in tech before women even worked in tech! She was a pioneer for women in the workplace. My other grandma, Marion, has inspired my entrepreneur journey. Along with my grandpa, she built their business with hard work and dedication. I grew up around her work ethic and entrepreneur spirit. I learned a lot about customer service and how to run a successful business. I am so thankful for these women in my life and how they helped me become the woman I am today.

Allison Frye – Senior Account Manager

There are so many women that inspire me, but I will share about three women that have entered my life recently and have made it so much better!  Dr. Anita Johnston, Food Psychologist Pioneer and Author of the book “Eating in the Light of the Moon,” has taught me so much about body image and the importance of having a “tribe of women” supporting each other. When I look in the mirror, I see the beautiful woman that I am, and this is because of the amazing work that Dr Anita Johnston does for women all over the world.  Hana Kahn may be younger than me, but I absolutely want to be her “when I grow up.” Hana has taken pain and turned it into a “Limitless Life” that she shares with everyone! Hana shares her story through her music and advocates for mental health every step of the way!  Erika Kesse has pioneered the concept of a “Try on Session,” proving that we aren’t one-size-fits-all and that the relationships that we have with the professionals and leaders in our lives should reflect that. Erika is truly an inspiration and encompasses everything I think of when I imagine strong women that are making our world a better place.  All of these women inspire me to follow their example and strive to make a great impact on this world as a strong, powerful woman!

I don’t have a particular woman that inspires me, but rather all the working moms out there inspire me. I feel like I joined a community when I became a mother.  We don’t even have to know each other personally but there is a community out there that allows us to support one another, share helpful tips, and relate to the crazy, daily chaos of balancing motherhood and a career.

Carmen Kumpula – Operations Coordinator

Two women who inspire me are the Co-Founders of Slumberkins, Kelly Oriard & Callie Christensen. They used their life experiences, worked hard and trusted their gut to develop a company that helps children & parents work together on growing their emotional intelligence. Even though they were not chosen as an investment in Shark Tank, they persevered because they saw the value in what they had to offer.

It is easy to doubt yourself and what you are passionate about but they supported each other and created a company that I use with my family on a daily basis.
