Over the years, she expanded beyond lemonade stands and started a few side businesses selling knitted scarves, homemade cupcakes, and more. Eventually, she started her first job at 16, where she answered phone calls for her grandparent's HVAC and plumbing business in Michigan. Her grandmother taught her skills in customer service, organization, business ethics, and how to manage multiple complex issues at the same time.
Her time spent as a full-time college student and intern at Big Brothers, Big Sisters fed her passion for growing businesses and their brands as she began to run social media for a local car dealership. She ended up securing a job during her senior year at the Kellogg Company. While at Kellogg, she managed their corporate social media accounts, ran LinkedIn ads for job openings, helped develop the employer brand, and planned internal events to promote the benefits of working for Kellogg. She learned about the importance of branding and how a strong message can greatly impact a business's bottom line.
In addition to working with Kellogg Company, she has managed projects for other iconic brands like Kashi, Pop-Tarts, Little Brownie Bakers, Cheez-Its, Bear Naked Granola, and more.
Emily has always been an entrepreneur. The summer she turned 6, she had the idea to sell lemonade in front of her grandma's house. Some people stopped and bought a few glasses on that hot day, and she made a couple of dollars. From this venture, her business spirit was born.
A fourth-generation entrepreneur, mom, and military spouse.
After listening to her clients and weeding out what no longer worked between marketing agencies and businesses, she developed a social media management and marketing framework to help businesses grow and harvest their results. Just as fruit trees flower before bearing their earthly gifts, it’s a joy to nourish businesses at the roots, redefining their online presence.
Coining the phrase, "Plant, Grow, Tend, Harvest," she follows these guiding principles through Blossom to help others achieve their digital marketing goals. Since 2017, she has developed marketing strategies for over 200 businesses, some of which have grown to over $1M+ in monthly revenue.
Today, Blossom serves clients from New York City to Los Angeles with over 10 people on their team. She currently resides in Alexandria, VA outside of Washington D.C. with her husband and daughter.
