August marks seven years since we opened our virtual doors to start working with clients to grow their businesses and harvest digital marketing results. Our founder, Emily Lenning, is a fourth-generation entrepreneur who fell in love with marketing at a corporate level and decided to bring her expertise to small businesses.
She envisioned allowing other businesses to grow and harvest results, which reminded her of how a fruit will have a flower blossom before bearing fruit-hence the name “Blossom.” As a small business ourself, we understand the intricacies of being a small business owner and strive to help other businesses make it to the flowering state, where they can finally reap the reward of their labor. Lenning coined the phrase, “Plant, Grow, Tend, Harvest,” which is the guiding principle for how Blossom helps others achieve their digital marketing goals.
As Emily reflects on starting her own digital marketing agency, she shared some of her favorite aspects of working with e-commerce businesses at this level.
“Over the last seven years I have seen hundreds of businesses grow and harvest results. It makes me emotional thinking about the impact we have had. When business owners come to me with their big dream, it is my goal and desire to help them thrive and create a strategy that will take their idea to the moon. We’ve worked with companies that grew so much they had to hire a full time marketing TEAM. This is when I know we have been successful. I am proud of my team and our partners for the work we do for our clients in the Washington D.C. metro area and beyond.”
We have evolved over the years to expand our services that will meet the ever-changing needs of our clients. We went from just social media management to adding video marketing and reels as well as providing resources to help our clients get comfortable in front of the camera to promote themselves. We provide ads management on platforms such as social media sites, Google, Pinterest, and TikTok which has generated results that get our clients excited. While reflecting on our growing services over the years, Emily told us about one of her favorite services to dive into:
“One of my favorite services we have implemented are Pinterest ads and management. Pinterest is such an untapped and successful platform that many overlook. I love being able to incorporate this strategy for our clients!”
