If you want to have the widest potential reach then a social media strategy is necessary. Paid ads on platforms like Facebook and Instagram are an additional tool to use because they lead to a higher number of page likes, reach, and impressions.

2. Clarity

Social media, like real estate, is highly visual. The ability to share photos and videos of current listings makes real estate an ideal candidate for social media success. Your content is inherently visual and therefore will translate beautifully onto your social platforms. Your mission is to use this to your advantage and create a digital presence based on quality content so that clients can trust you to become their realtor.

3. Connection

A key aspect of social media is engagement. Through the use of these platforms you are able to connect with past, present, and future clients. In addition to sharing eye-catching graphics and videos, you are able to share updates about new listings and open houses, client testimonials, home-owning tips, and also congratulate clients on their new homes. Social media platforms also allow clients to get to know you as a person, or group, which helps to build a stronger relationship.

Today, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the necessity of social media for realtors is highlighted even more. The use of Facebook Live to host open houses, for example, has been an excellent tool for realtors. Additionally, the connection aspects mentioned above have been key for realtors to remain relevant and seen during the pandemic.
